"Hormone treatments in Chronic and Intractable Pain"...

Dr. Forest Tennant, who is known for writing about living with chronic and intractable pain, has written this article with the aforementioned title.   As it is simply just too long for me to copy it here for your reading, you can find it on his website at: http://www.practicalpainmanagement.com/treatments/hormone-therapy/hormone-treatments-chronic-intractable-pain.

He brings up some very valid points that you may want to discuss with your pain management doctor. Please note that hormonal issues are not just for the female gender, but also affect males.

If your doctor is unaware of the implications that pain can have on one's hormones, you may want to copy this article and take it to him/her so that they can become better educated on dealing with those who have to live with chronic pain.  While he/she will most likely feel that this is outside their area of expertise, hopefully you can be referred to someone who is experienced in dealing with hormonal issues.

As your hormones can be affected by your pain, you may also want to discuss it with your hormone doctor, if you are already having your hormone issues dealt with.

Hopefully, all of you can work together as a team in order to help you reach optimal health.
